Microloans

With unprecedented numbers of people, of all ages, unable to access bank funding many viable businesses will not be able to start or flourish. We want to help those people who need some financial support.

So we have linked up with another charity, Fredericks Foundation, to create a loan fund to support business start-ups and expansions. Our fund will support disadvantaged local people who have a viable business plan to access funding to get started or expand their business.

We are offering loans:

  • Up to £10K for a start-up
  • Up to £20K for an expanding business
In addition we will link people to mentors and other business support facilities so that those receiving loans have the best possible chance to succeed. By helping people to help themselves we can improve self-esteem, allow individuals to support their own families and help develop flourishing communities.

How can you get involved?

  • Contribute to our loan fund
  • Offer yourself or your staff as business mentors
  • Sit on a lending panel
  • Apply for a loan
What are we doing this with Fredericks Foundation?
Fredericks have the expertise in micro lending and Quartet Community Foundation has the local knowledge of need, business support and fundraising.

This initiative is supported by the Regional Growth Fund.
