A generalist advice service offering free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects, including; benefits, debt, consumer, housing, employment, legal, tax, immigration, family.

Our drop-in service is open:
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays – 10am to 3pm. Limited appointments available.

Voluntary Action North Somerset

Voluntary Action North Somerset supports voluntary and community groups by providing:
  • support to groups on all aspects of setting up and running a voluntary group
  • advice on funding
  • opportunities for networking with other groups
  • help to represent your views on issues and plans affecting your work

Somerset Racial Equality Council

Somerset Racial Equality Council

Somerset Racial Equality Council aims to eliminate racial discrimination, and promote equal opportunities and good race relations between people of different racial groups.

Our North Somerset base provides:
  • training, advice and policy development to organisations wishing to improve their racial equality practice
  • Public education and awareness-raising about equality and diversity issues
  • Case work service for victims of racial discrimination
  • A sign posting service for victims of racial harassment
We also manage the Big Lottery funded BME Forum project, working with Black and minority ethnic people to help them have a voice.
