Thanks a million |
Grants to voluntary and community groups in Bath and North East Somerset have just topped the £1 million mark.
Since opening a specific fund in 2003 for community groups in the area, Quartet grants have supported everything from five-a-side football with homeless people, to stress-busting sessions for isolated carers, to drama workshops for disaffected young people.
As part of this landmark for Quartet’s work in B&NES, our offices are moving into the centre of Bath.
Jilly Edwards, Manager of Quartet in B&NES is pleased to celebrate success: “Giving away £1 million is a great achievement and thousands of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Bath and North East Somerset have been helped. It’s a milestone that shows we’re making great strides on reaching the small local community groups where even a small amount of money can make a big difference.”

The Quartet team in B&NES can now be contacted at: 12 Pierrepont Street, Bath, BA1 1LA (pictured left) t: 01225 420 300, f: 01225 420 301

Success for Safer and Stronger Neighbourhoods Fund |
| Quartet’s recent community safety partnership project with Bath & North East Somerset council has proved a success. The scheme distributed £50,000 to local neighbourhood safety projects and drew over 35 applicants, many of whom were new groups. “Quartet ran the scheme quickly and efficiently, bringing in a high volume of good grant applications,” said Councillor Vic Pritchard. “We look forward to working with them again in 2009.” |
